The z.trusion® technology paves the way for a substantial reduction in the CO2 footprint across various manufacturing industries. By minimising material usage and optimising energy consumption, our primary objective is to contribute to a remarkable 1% reduction in global CO2 emissions.
As a reference, a European thermal break supplier indicates volumes of 100 million meters/year. That means a conservative calculation on CO2 savings is:
For the same volume the material savings would mean approximately 1,050 ton (equals approximately €20 million) compared with conventional thermal break profile.
Substantial savings were made possible in design and production thanks to the z.trusion® technology. Manufacturing costs were reduced from approximately €33/mtr to approximately €4.5/mtr, including material (as estimated internally by the Reliefed team).
If a weight saving of 3 kg could be reached in a car, for 1 million cars with 3 kg of weight-saving, a reduction of approximately 100,000 ton CO2 is achieved over all (as estimated internally by the Reliefed team).
