How it happens

CO2 impact estimate

Thermal window

A great potential

As a reference, a European thermal break supplier indicates volumes of 100 million meters/year. That means a conservative calculation on CO2 savings is:

  • 10 million m2 installed window saves 100 GWh/year
  • 100 GWh equals approx. 42 000 ton CO2/year

For the same volume the material savings would mean approximately 1.050 ton (equals approximately € 20 million) compared with conventional thermal break profile.

Substantial savings were made possible in design and production thanks to the z.trusion® technology. Manufacturing costs were reduced from approximately 33 €/mtr to approximately 4.5 €/mtr, including material.
